Gemmecotti is a pump brand from Italy. With its experience, Gemmecotti creates its strengths in magnetic pumps, chemical pumps, and corrosive fluids.
In this article, Thai Khuong will share some information about this brand with you!
Gemmecotti’s development history
GemmeCotti has been manufacturing chemical pumps for acids and hazardous liquids since 1992 when Enrico Gemme and Marino Cotti founded their own company after extensive experience in pump design and manufacture. The company is characterized by the high quality of its pumps, which are ensured by Italian origin materials and the constant care of qualified and always up-to-date employees who care about customer needs and provide support throughout the entire purchasing process.
Our wide range of products, including magnetic driven centrifugal pumps, magnetic driven turbine pumps, magnetic driven vane pumps, vertical shaft pumps, mechanical seal pumps, and vacuum pumps, are manufactured and manufactured in thermoplastic materials (PP or PVDF) or metallic materials (AISI 316, Titanium, Hastelloy). All GemmeCotti pumps are compliant with the Machinery Directive (CE / 2006/42).
ISO 9001:2015 QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM “Quality” is GemmeCotti’s keyword; this is why we are ISO 9001 certified company since 2007. Recently, our Quality Management System we have been updated to the new ISO 9001:2015, making us one of the first companies in Italy to be certified with the latest quality standards. This is a clear testament to our dedication to continuous improvement and our desire to provide high-quality products and services. GemmeCotti is constantly becoming more efficient, and customer satisfaction is always our top priority.
Our primary passion is to meet our customers’ expectations and provide them with the best support and top-level products. We aim to improve every business process continuously: from engineering and production to marketing and sales. Every aspect develops and is organized to be competitive and flexible in the pump market and maintain its position as a leading supplier of chemical pumps.
Gemmecotti pump product lines
“GemmeCotti pumps completely manufacture in our facility, and they are 100% made in Italy. They are designed, assembled, and tested in our workshop by highly skilled employees, as pump parts are manufactured and machined by our Italian suppliers, all located in the vicinity of our company. This is why, for us, our supplier’s Grades play an important role in the quality outcome of pumps.
We select and refine them through a rigorous testing process. We keep a close relationship with them to ensure the high quality of each pump component and, therefore, the complete pump assembly. Italian origin has always been considered a guarantee of the quality and value of the product, created by the long experience and techniques of those Italian craftsmen. We are proud to continue this tradition and supply top-quality industrial pumps in more than 80 countries worldwide. We can count on a product that meets excellent mechanical standards at a competitive price with the guarantee of Italian origin.” Gemmecotti said.
SEAL-LESS MAG DRIVE CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS
Typical magnetic-driven centrifugal pumps: HTM PP/PVDF; Ho Chi Minh City
The external magnet connects directly to the motor shaft in a sealless magnetic drive centrifugal pump, transmitting torque to the internal interest. The generated magnetic field creates rotation without physical contact between the parts that make the propeller rotate and the fluid move. The back cover place between two magnet joints, and it seals the hydraulic unit from the motor.
SEAL-LESS MAG-DRIVE TURBINE PUMPS
Turbine-type magnetic drive pumps: HTA; HTT; HTT – SP
In a sealless magnetic drive turbine pump, the outer magnet is connected directly to the motor shaft, which transmits torque to the inner interest. The generated magnetic field creates rotation without physical contact between the components, and the turbine rotates and moves the fluid. The back cover place between two magnet joints, and it seals the hydraulic unit from the motor.
SEAL-LESS MAG DRIVE VANE PUMPS
Magnetic drive pump lines vane type: HTP, HPP, HPF
In sealless magnetic drive vane pumps, the external magnet is connected directly to the motor shaft, which transmits torque to the internal magnet. The generated magnetic field creates rotation without physical contact between the parts and rotates the rotor. The blades inside the rotor slide in and out of their place, and they move the fluid. The back cover place between two magnet joints, and it seals the hydraulic unit from the motor.
HCO – MECHANICAL SEAL PUMPS
Centrifugal pumps with mechanical seals: HCO PP/ PVDF
Mechanical seal centrifugal pumps are the right solution for applications involving solids in liquids because their design with an open impeller allows for the pumping of dirty liquids and highly viscous liquids. The seal in a mechanical seal pump is composed of a stationary ring and a rotating ring located on the pump shaft, which directs coupled to the motor shaft. Two surfaces that slide together need to be lubricated, and the sealing lubricant is the fluid pump.
Liquid ring vacuum pumps
Series of water ring vacuum pumps: VPM/VPS/VPL
Centrifugal pumps are suitable for installation, with the pump being immersed directly in the tank.
Air-operated double diaphragm pumps
For pumping applications in potentially explosive atmospheres, GemmeCotti offers ATEX certified pumps suitable for zona 1 II 2G c Tx and zona 2 II 3G c Tx. All pumps comply with the technical and safety requirements of the ATEX directive 2014/34/EU.
The pump system for the IBC tank is a mobile unit consisting of a series of HTM PP/PVDF-driven centrifugal pumps housed in an easily movable frame.
Advantages of Gemmecotti pump line
Magnetic-drive pumps with impeller design are especially suitable for pumping corrosive and hazardous liquids due to their high chemical resistance and zero leakage and emissions. The construction is straightforward and requires less maintenance, thus saving repair and spare parts costs over the pump’s life. The outer magnet placed on the drive shaft transmits motion to the inner interest connected to the impeller, which rotates and moves the fluid through the pump.
Magnetic drive pump has a unique sealed pump design that prevents any leakage of liquid and harmful gases; in the case of chemicals, corrosive liquids, explosive and flammable liquids can be very dangerous. Dangerous to the people using the pump and especially to the environment. As a result, mag-driven pumps allow compliance with the stringent environmental and safety objectives required by many regulations.
We should also not forget that some fluids can be costly, and their loss due to seal failure can result in unnecessarily high additional costs. Magnetic drive pumps are very reliable and require low maintenance due to their simple design. Under normal operating conditions, these pumps can work without repair for more than a decade, so the cost of their life will be significantly reduced, even if you are better off. Should check bearings and bearings every 1-2 years to ensure that there is no wear. Pairing is easy as there is no need to align the motor/pump.
