What products does Definox manufacture?
DEFINOX SAS (Clisson, France) specializes in sanitary valves and process equipment for food, dairy, beverage, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals — not pumps. The valve range covers 6 groups: shut-off/diverter (DPX, DBX, DCX3/DCX4, DMX, CAR), mixproof (VEOX, NEOS, VDCI MC), control & protection, automation (Sorio, Starmotion), sampling (PEX/PEAX/PEV) and tank bottom.
How do the VEOX and NEOS mixproof valves differ?
VEOX is a mixproof valve with two independent valve seats and a safe leakage chamber in between — preventing intermixing when two product or CIP streams run simultaneously (up to 13 bar, PEEK seats). NEOS is a double-seal valve using PFA/PTFE seats with no product-contact elastomer. Both are EHEDG and 3-A certified.
Do Definox valves meet food-hygiene standards?
Yes. Definox valves are 3-A and EHEDG certified (depending on the line), compliant with EC 1935/2004 for food-contact materials, CE, and FDA for seal/seat materials; they feature CIP/SIP design and polished contact surfaces. The PEX sampling valve additionally holds NSF.
What are the Sorio control head and the Starmotion system?
Sorio is a valve-mounted control/monitoring head — position feedback, pneumatic control, AS-i/IO-Link support, IP67, with an ATEX version. Starmotion is a pigging system that recovers product remaining in the pipeline — reducing product loss and CIP wastewater.
