A centrifugal pump whose casing and impeller are protected by an elastomeric lining (rubber/elastomer) or hi-chrome hard alloy, for pumping slurry, ore, fly ash, sand and abrasive high-solids fluids — metal body carries structural loads on the outside, wear-resistant surface on the inside.
Elastomeric lining absorbs impact well, suited for fine-to-medium particles and mildly corrosive fluids. Hi-chrome (chrome-iron) is harder, suited for coarse, sharp particles and high head. Choose based on particle size, sharpness and operating conditions.
7 series: S (lined), L (high flow), H (high head), P (chrome-iron), U (unlined), Z (lined) and V (vertical/sump) — covering flow rates up to ~6,800 m³/h and heads up to ~128 m.
