The Caprari E-Series submersible borehole pump is a vertical column pump (4″–22″) installed submerged inside the well, with the motor positioned directly beneath the pump assembly — used for groundwater extraction in water supply, agricultural, and industrial applications. The operating range extends to 350 l/s flow rate, 850 m head, and 440 kW power.
Working Principle of the Submersible Borehole Pump
The entire pump assembly and motor are lowered into the borehole, with the motor cooled by the well water itself. Unlike vertical turbine pumps (which have the motor above ground), the submersible pump has a smaller diameter footprint, making it suitable for deep wells with small bore diameters.
E-Series Range and Technology
- Size: 4″ – 22″ (covering everything from domestic wells to industrial extraction).
- Flow rate: up to 350 l/s · Head: up to 850 m · Power: up to 440 kW.
- SAND-OUT: sand-resistant construction — critical for Vietnamese groundwater, which commonly contains fine sand particles.
- DEFENDER: corrosion protection for aggressive water conditions.
- Drinking water certification DM174 / ACS for potable water supply.
How to Select an E-Series Pump
- Well diameter determines the maximum installable size (4″–22″).
- Static / dynamic water level + installation depth → select sufficient head (add pipeline losses).
- Required flow rate (m³/h) based on water supply demand.
- Water quality (sand content, corrosiveness) → select SAND-OUT / DEFENDER if needed.
E-Series or P-Series Turbine?
| Criterion | E-Series (submersible) | P-Series (turbine) |
|---|---|---|
| Motor | Submerged inside the well | Above ground |
| Maintenance | Pull entire unit to surface | Service motor in place |
| Suitable for | Deep wells, small bore diameter | Wells / tanks / rivers, low O&M requirement |

FAQ (schema)
How deep can the E-Series pump be installed? Head up to 850 m, size range 4″–22″ — suitable for deep boreholes; engineers select the appropriate model based on well diameter and water level. Can it handle groundwater with high sand content? Yes — SAND-OUT technology provides sand resistance and DEFENDER provides corrosion protection, suitable for Vietnamese groundwater conditions.
