Previously, the flanged connection options on SANDPIPER stainless steel pumps included threaded or welded types. However, these methods always involved joints, posing a potential risk of leakage or corrosion over time, especially when handling highly corrosive chemicals.
The new improvement, with the flange cast as a single piece with the pump body, has completely eliminated the threaded or welded joints that come into direct contact with the pumped fluid. This creates a solid, seamless structure that thoroughly resolves the inherent problems of the old design.

Important Information on Compatibility and Replacement
To ensure customers can upgrade or replace conveniently, SANDPIPER has carefully considered compatibility:
- For 1.5″ and 2″ pumps (S15, G15, S20, G20): The height of the suction and discharge ports on the new cast-in one-piece flange models is identical to the old models. This allows for direct replacement without changing the existing pipework.
- For 1″ pumps (S1F, G1F): Due to the change in base design, the suction/discharge port height of the new model will be 0.75 inch (19mm) lower than the old model8. If a customer needs to raise the pump height to fully match the old system, Thái Khương Pumps can supply a Foot Mount Kit (475.305.000) as an additional purchase.
How to Identify and Order the New Model?
To reflect this change, SANDPIPER has updated its product naming convention. For the S1F, G1F, S15, G15, S20, and G20 stainless steel pump lines, the flange option will now be designated by the letter ‘U’ (Universal Flange) in the 10th position of the model code, instead of ‘R’ (threaded) or ‘W’ (welded) as before.
