Finish Thompson SFS Drum Pump is the 316SS stainless steel variant of the SF series (41mm small bung, sealless, dual-impeller). Flow rate up to 140 LPM, head up to 25 m, viscosity up to 1200 cP, temperature up to 100°C. On the same hydraulic platform, SFS serves two application groups depending on configuration: flammable/high-temperature fluids (ATEX) and food/sanitary (FDA materials, 316L, tri-clamp, filter head — per Finish Thompson technical documentation). Officially distributed in Vietnam by Thái Khương Pumps.

Motor options

One pump tube — many motors

The Finish Thompson drum-pump tube detaches from the motor head, so one tube can be shared across several motor types depending on operating conditions and fluid properties.

  • Electric motor — Continuous operation, suited to fixed filling/dosing stations.
  • Battery motor (cordless) — Mobile and cordless — available by line/model.
  • Air motor — Infinitely variable speed, no electricity needed; safe for flammable fluids and handles high viscosity.

The cordless battery-motor option depends on the line/model — please confirm when requesting a quote.

Questions frequently asked

Is the SFS suitable for food/sanitary applications?
Yes. Per Finish Thompson technical documentation, the SFS (316SS) can be configured for sanitary service: FDA-compliant wetted materials, 316L stainless steel, tri-clamp connections, and an integrated strainer (optional) — suitable for dispensing vegetable oils, syrups, liquid pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. TKT will confirm the specific configuration upon quotation.
How does the SFS differ from the SFP/SFV/SFVV variants in the SF series?
All belong to the SF series (41mm small bung, sealless) but differ in wetted material: SFP=PP, SFV=Pure PP-PVDF, SFVV=Pure PVDF, and SFS=316SS/316L — heat tolerance up to 100°C, ATEX option for flammable fluids, and FDA sanitary configuration available.
How does the SF differ from the PF series?
SF is designed for small 41mm bung openings with a dual-impeller, while PF uses a Ø2in tube with a dual impeller. SF offers a high-flow option (~140 lpm) or -H high-head (~91 lpm@25m); PF achieves up to ~151 lpm and ~24 m.
Should I choose the standard version or the -H version?
Choose by priority: the standard (high-flow) variant delivers ~140 lpm @ ~15 m when high flow rate is needed; the -H (high-head) variant delivers ~91 lpm @ ~25 m when higher head is required.
What is the maximum viscosity the SF can handle?
The SF series handles viscosity up to ~1200 cP when driven by an air motor.
What materials are available for the SF with high chemical resistance and heat tolerance?
The SFVV (Pure PVDF) variant offers high chemical resistance; the SFS (316SS) variant provides the highest heat tolerance in the SF series and is used for flammable fluids. Note that SFV54/60/72 have a temperature limit of 60°C.
Is the SF (Small-bung) Drum Pump available in stock in Vietnam?
Thai Khuong Pumps has been the authorized representative of Finish Thompson Inc. (USA) in Vietnam since 06/2022. The HCMC warehouse keeps the common lines in stock; models not in stock are ordered from the FTI factory (Erie, Pennsylvania) with CO-CQ. Call 0941.400.488 to check stock.
What is the warranty period for the SF (Small-bung) pump?
A 12-month warranty in Vietnam through Thai Khuong Pumps (authorized Finish Thompson representative) covers material/workmanship defects when genuine spare parts are used — with parts and technical support included.
