Finish Thompson SP Series Magnetic Drive Centrifugal Pump is a sealless magnetic drive centrifugal pump series (no mechanical seal) from Finish Thompson (FTI, USA). The SP series comprises 4 models with flow rate up to 12.2–47.9 m³/h, head up to 13.7–37.9 m, operating temperature up to 104.0°C. Wetted materials: PVDF, PP. Magnetic coupling eliminates seal leakage — safe for corrosive and hazardous chemicals. Officially distributed in Vietnam by Thái Khương Pumps.

In what way does the SP self-priming pump differ from the DB pump?
The SP self-priming pump series can draw fluid when the supply source is below the pump (suction depth up to ~7.6 m, priming up to ~5.5 m within ~90 seconds) without a foot valve; the DB series is a flooded-suction pump requiring the supply source to be at or above pump level. Both are seal-less PP/PVDF, leak-free.
What models are available in the SP series?
The SP series comprises 4 models (SP10, SP11, SP15, SP22) with maximum flow rates from ~12 to ~48 m³/h and head up to ~38 m. Select based on required flow rate/head and suction depth.
How deep can the SP pump self-prime?
The SP pump draws from depths up to ~7.6 m (25 ft) and self-primes to ~5.5 m (18 ft) within approximately 90 seconds after the initial prime. Priming is required for the first start; thereafter the pump self-reprimes whenever air enters the suction line.
Can the SP run dry?
Extended dry-running should be avoided — shaft bearings and magnetic coupling are lubricated by the fluid. The pump retains some liquid in the self-priming chamber for re-priming, but dry-run protection must be incorporated for automatic operation.
Is the SP magnetic drive pump available in stock in Vietnam?
Thai Khuong Pumps has been the authorized representative of Finish Thompson Inc. (USA) in Vietnam since 06/2022. The HCMC warehouse keeps the common lines in stock; models not in stock are ordered from the FTI factory (Erie, Pennsylvania) with CO-CQ. Call 0941.400.488 to check stock.
What is the warranty period for the SP pump?
A 12-month warranty in Vietnam through Thai Khuong Pumps (authorized Finish Thompson representative) covers material/workmanship defects when genuine spare parts are used — with parts and technical support included.
Is there a datasheet and technical support for the SP series?

Bơm dẫn động từ Finish Thompson dòng SP

Series SP là bơm ly tâm dẫn động từ self-priming (self-priming) bằng PP/PVDF: hút sâu tới ~7,6 m (25 ft) và tự mồi tới ~5,5 m (18 ft) trong khoảng 90 giây. Seal-less, không phốt, không rò rỉ — phù hợp khi nguồn cấp nằm dưới bơm. Dải lưu lượng tới ~57,5 m³/h, cột áp tới ~50 m.

Cấu tạo & nguyên lý hoạt động

  • Tự mồi (self-priming): hút và mồi lại sau khi đường ống có khí — không cần van chân hay mồi tay.
  • Hút sâu tới ~7,6 m, mồi tới ~5,5 m trong ~90 giây.
  • Khớp từ NdFeB seal-less — không phốt cơ khí, không rò rỉ.
  • Materials PP / PVDF chịu hóa chất ăn mòn tới 104°C (PVDF).

Vật liệu tiếp xúc: PP / PVDF · nam châm NdFeB. Dải số là tối đa theo từng cấu hình — không phải một model đạt đồng thời. Gửi tên hóa chất + lưu lượng/cột áp để kỹ sư TKT chọn đúng model.

Typical applications

Hút hóa chất từ bồn/hố chứa đặt thấp hơn bơm, xả thùng, chuyển axit-kiềm khi đường hút có khí, ứng dụng cần mồi lại nhiều lần mà không có van chân.

Quy trình mồi & độ sâu hút

Lần khởi động đầu cần đổ mồi vào buồng bơm; sau đó dòng SP tự mồi lại khi đường hút lọt khí, hút sâu tới ~7,6 m và mồi tới ~5,5 m trong khoảng 90 giây. Bơm giữ một lượng lưu chất trong buồng tự mồi — không xả cạn buồng giữa các lần chạy để giữ khả năng tự mồi. Bố trí bảo vệ chạy khô khi vận hành tự động.

Khi nào chọn SP, khi nào chọn DB

Select SP tự mồi khi nguồn cấp nằm dưới bơm (hút từ bồn/hố chìm, xả thùng) hoặc đường hút hay lọt khí. Chọn DB hút ngập khi nguồn cấp ngang/trên bơm — kết cấu đơn giản, giá tốt hơn cho cùng dải lưu lượng.

Chọn model nào?

  • Lưu lượng nhỏ (~12 m³/h): SP10.
  • Medium (~24-26 m³/h): SP11 / SP15.
  • Lưu lượng lớn của dòng SP (~48 m³/h, ~38 m): SP22.
  • Nguồn cấp ngang/trên bơm: cân nhắc dòng DB hút ngập.
