Fuel depots, tank trucks & refuelling

Gorman-Rupp has built equipment for petroleum-based liquids since the 1950s. Self-priming O Series and its PTO version for refuelling trucks, the spark-arrested 80 Series Shield-A-Spark, Roto-Prime separating air continuously while offloading tank trucks, and G Series gear pumps for asphalt and heavy fuel oil.

Wastewater & lift stations

Questions frequently asked

Can a small pump really pass 102 mm solids?
This is the manufacturer's published figure for the 6400 line, arising from a generous liquid-path design. Note that 102 mm is the line maximum and applies to the larger sizes in the range; a 2" model obviously cannot pass a 102 mm sphere since the port itself is smaller. When selecting, compare actual debris size against the specific model rather than the line maximum.
Is this centrifugal self-priming?
No. Standard centrifugals are not self-priming and need the casing filled with liquid before starting, usually by setting the pump below the source (flooded suction) or using a foot valve with an external priming system. If the site must lift from a pit or a tank below the pump, choose a self-priming line such as the Super T or a priming-assisted Prime Aire.

What is the warranty period?
Per the manufacturer's literature, warranty runs up to 60 months depending on the pump line (AV-05427). The term applying to each order is stated in the Thai Khuong quotation.
What information is needed for a quotation?
At minimum: required flow, total head or pipe length and elevation, fluid name and temperature, largest solids size, suction condition (tank above or below the pump), and the site's electrical supply. With these, engineers can read the curves and settle the model in one pass.

Ly tâm tiêu chuẩn của Gorman-Rupp dùng cho việc gì?

Với bơm ly tâm cỡ 2″ đến 8″, khả năng nuốt rắn cầu 102 mm là con số đáng chú ý, ngang với dòng 6500 lớn
hơn nhiều. Điều này đến từ thiết kế đường lưu chất rộng, cho phép dòng này làm việc với nước thải đã qua song
chắn rác hoặc nước mặt có tạp chất, trong khi phần lớn bơm ly tâm cùng cỡ sẽ nghẹt.

Khi nào chọn 6400 thay vì bơm tự mồi

Điều kiện quyết định là vị trí bể hút. Nếu bể hút cao hơn cao độ bơm, tức là bơm được cấp chất lỏng bằng
trọng lực, thì 6400 là phương án gọn và hiệu quả hơn: ít chi tiết hơn, không có cụm mồi cần bảo dưỡng. Ngược
lại nếu phải hút lên từ hố thấp hơn bơm, dòng này không dùng được và cần chuyển sang Super T, 80 Series hoặc
nhóm mồi cưỡng bức.
