The Gorman-Rupp 80 Series self-priming pump is the general-purpose open-impeller self-primer: flow to 422 m³/h, head to 62 m, spherical solids to 48 mm, port sizes 1.25" - 6", temperature to 71 °C. Cast iron, ductile iron and stainless. The line serves both water and fuel duties, with a close-coupled explosion-proof motor version and the Shield-A-Spark version for flammable liquids.

Fuel depots, tank trucks & refuelling

Gorman-Rupp has built equipment for petroleum-based liquids since the 1950s. How does the 80 Series differ from the Super T?
The 80 Series passes solids to 48 mm across sizes 1.25" to 6"; the Super T passes 76 mm across 2" to 10" with higher flow (772 m³/h against 422 m³/h). Choose the 80 Series for small and medium systems, moderately dirty liquids, or where a fuel-rated drive version is needed. Choose the Super T for raw debris-laden sewage and large flow.
Can the 80 Series pump fuels?
Yes, with the correct configuration. In a classified hazardous area with mains power, use the close-coupled explosion-proof motor version. Without power, use the Shield-A-Spark spark-shielded engine version. Casing and seal materials must also match the fuel formulation. If the liquid is a clean fuel and higher efficiency and head are needed, consider the O Series.
How deep can a self-priming pump lift?
The physical limit for any suction lift is atmospheric pressure, in practice around 7 to 7.5 m under ideal conditions with cool water. The usable design figure is lower because of suction-line friction loss and liquid temperature. If the well is deeper than this, the pump must be set lower or a submersible used instead. Provide the lowest liquid level relative to the pump position for engineering review.
Does servicing a self-priming pump require entering the wet well?
No. That is precisely why the above-ground arrangement is chosen. The pump sits on a dry floor; opening the inspection cover gives access to the impeller and wear plate for clearance adjustment or parts replacement without disturbing the piping and without a confined-space entry procedure. With a submersible, every equivalent task begins by lifting the pump out of the well.

Bơm tự mồi đặt cạn giải quyết vấn đề gì?

Trong trạm bơm nước thải, cách làm phổ biến là thả bơm chìm xuống hố thu. Mỗi lần kiểm tra hay sửa chữa
phải kéo bơm lên, và với hố sâu thì đó là công việc cần cẩu, cần quy trình vào không gian hạn chế và cần người
xuống hố. Bơm tự mồi Gorman-Rupp đặt trên mặt đất cạnh hố, hút chất lỏng lên qua đường ống.
Toàn bộ việc kiểm tra, chỉnh khe hở và thay chi tiết mòn làm ngay tại sàn khô. Đây là điểm khác biệt lớn về an
toàn lao động và thời gian dừng máy, không chỉ là chuyện kỹ thuật thuần tuý.

Nguyên lý tự mồi

Buồng bơm giữ lại một lượng chất lỏng sau khi dừng. Khi khởi động, cánh bơm khuấy lượng chất lỏng này
thành hỗn hợp lỏng – khí và đẩy khí trong đường hút ra qua cửa xả, tới khi cột chất lỏng dâng lên tới cánh và
bơm vào chế độ làm việc bình thường. Không cần van đáy, không cần bơm chân không phụ trợ, và bơm tự mồi lại
được sau mỗi lần dừng mà không phải mồi tay.

80 Series nằm ở đâu trong dải tự mồi

80 Series là dòng tự mồi đa dụng, đứng giữa hai nhóm. So với O Series cánh kín chuyên nhiên liệu sạch,
80 Series dùng open impeller nên nuốt được hạt rắn tới 48 mm, chịu lưu chất có tạp chất tốt hơn. So
với Super T chuyên xử lý chất rắn, 80 Series nuốt rắn nhỏ hơn (48 mm so với 76 mm) nhưng phủ dải cỡ nhỏ hơn,
xuống tới 1,25″, nên phù hợp những hệ nhỏ mà Super T là quá cỡ.

Ba bản dẫn động cho ba tình huống

Bản động cơ điện tiêu chuẩn dùng cho nước và nước thải nhẹ ở khu vực thường. Bản close-coupled
động cơ phòng nổ dùng khi bơm nhiên liệu ở khu vực đã phân loại vùng nguy hiểm và có điện lưới. Bản
Shield-A-Spark dùng động cơ đốt trong có che chắn tia lửa, dành cho nơi không có điện mà vẫn
phải bơm chất lỏng dễ cháy. Việc chọn bản nào phụ thuộc phân loại vùng nguy hiểm tại công trình và nguồn năng
lượng sẵn có, không phải chọn theo lưu lượng.
