How do Eradicator and Eradicator Plus differ?
Eradicator uses a tooth that tears fibrous material before it wraps the impeller, suiting domestic wastewater with wipes and rags. Eradicator Plus is the more aggressive version for duties needing active cutting and tearing such as agricultural waste, with Hard Iron up to 600 Bhn. An important commercial difference: the standard line is published with a five-year warranty, Eradicator Plus models with one year.
How does Super T differ from the T Series?
Both share the solids-handling self-priming platform, the same 2" to 10" size range and the same maximum flow of 772 m³/h, but Super T delivers higher head: 51 m against 40 m for the T Series. Super T is the later line and the one the manufacturer promotes, with the Eradicator and G-R Hard Iron options. The T Series remains available for existing installations needing compatible replacements.
How does the five-year warranty apply?
This is the manufacturer's published figure in brochure AV-05108 for the standard Super T line. Eradicator Plus models are published with a one-year warranty. The conditions and exact scope for each order are stated in the Thai Khuong quotation.
How deep can a self-priming pump lift?
The physical limit for any suction lift is atmospheric pressure, in practice around 7 to 7.5 m under ideal conditions with cool water. The usable design figure is lower because of suction-line friction loss and liquid temperature. If the well is deeper than this, the pump must be set lower or a submersible used instead. Provide the lowest liquid level relative to the pump position for engineering review.
Does servicing a self-priming pump require entering the wet well?
No. That is precisely why the above-ground arrangement is chosen. The pump sits on a dry floor; opening the inspection cover gives access to the impeller and wear plate for clearance adjustment or parts replacement without disturbing the piping and without a confined-space entry procedure. With a submersible, every equivalent task begins by lifting the pump out of the well.

Trong trạm bơm nước thải, cách làm phổ biến là thả bơm chìm xuống hố thu. Mỗi lần kiểm tra hay sửa chữa
phải kéo bơm lên, và với hố sâu thì đó là công việc cần cẩu, cần quy trình vào không gian hạn chế và cần người
xuống hố. Bơm tự mồi Gorman-Rupp đặt trên mặt đất cạnh hố, hút chất lỏng lên qua đường ống.
Toàn bộ việc kiểm tra, chỉnh khe hở và thay chi tiết mòn làm ngay tại sàn khô. Đây là điểm khác biệt lớn về an
toàn lao động và thời gian dừng máy, không chỉ là chuyện kỹ thuật thuần tuý.

Nguyên lý tự mồi

Buồng bơm giữ lại một lượng chất lỏng sau khi dừng. Khi khởi động, cánh bơm khuấy lượng chất lỏng này
thành hỗn hợp lỏng – khí và đẩy khí trong đường hút ra qua cửa xả, tới khi cột chất lỏng dâng lên tới cánh và
bơm vào chế độ làm việc bình thường. Không cần van đáy, không cần bơm chân không phụ trợ, và bơm tự mồi lại
được sau mỗi lần dừng mà không phải mồi tay.

Super T và bài toán rác sợi

Nước thải sinh hoạt ngày nay có nhiều khăn ướt, giẻ và sợi tổng hợp, những thứ quấn quanh cánh bơm và làm
tụt lưu lượng dần cho tới khi phải dừng máy vệ sinh. Gorman-Rupp đưa ra hệ Eradicator cho Super
T: một răng phá đặt trong đường lưu chất giúp xé nhỏ vật liệu dạng sợi trước khi chúng kịp quấn. Bản mạnh hơn
là Eradicator Plus, dùng khi có rác nông nghiệp hoặc vật liệu cần cắt xé chủ động; bản này có
vật liệu Hard Iron tới 600 Bhn. Lưu ý về bảo hành: dòng Super T tiêu chuẩn được hãng công bố bảo hành 5 năm,
còn bản Eradicator Plus là 1 năm.

Vật liệu cho môi chất mài mòn

Với nước thải lẫn cát, bùn khoáng hoặc nước rửa vật liệu, chi tiết mòn nhanh nhất là cánh và tấm chắn
mòn. Gorman-Rupp chào tuỳ chọn G-R Hard Iron, vật liệu có độ cứng đo được trên 400 Bhn. Theo
công bố của hãng, vật liệu này kéo dài tuổi thọ bơm tới sáu lần so với gang hoặc gang dẻo tiêu chuẩn trong ứng
dụng mài mòn. Ngoài ra còn có bản CD4MCuN và inox cho môi chất ăn mòn.

Điểm bảo trì đáng giá nhất

Nắp kiểm tra kiểu không cần shim cho phép tiếp cận cánh bơm và chỉnh khe hở cánh với tấm chắn mòn mà
không phải cài lại căn đệm. Khi khe hở này rộng ra do mòn, lưu lượng và hiệu suất tụt; chỉnh lại là lấy được
đặc tính về mà không thay chi tiết. Với hệ Eradicator, việc tiếp cận cánh còn dễ hơn vì không phải tháo cả cụm
nắp sau.

Trạm bơm nâng nước thải đô thị và khu công nghiệp, bể thu gom nước thải nhà máy, bơm bùn loãng trong xử
lý nước, hút cạn hố móng có lẫn rác, và các trạm bơm nước mưa. Với công trình có hố thu sâu, cần kiểm tra chiều
