Fuel depots, tank trucks & refuelling

Gorman-Rupp has built equipment for petroleum-based liquids since the 1950s. Wastewater & lift stations

How does the 6500 differ from the 6400?
The 6500 is the larger heavy-duty line: ports to 16", flow to 3,497 m³/h and head to 162 m. The 6400 is the end-suction line in 2" to 8", flow to 622 m³/h and head to 52 m. Both pass 102 mm spherical solids in ductile iron. Select on required flow and head.
Is this centrifugal self-priming?
No. Standard centrifugals are not self-priming and need the casing filled with liquid before starting, usually by setting the pump below the source (flooded suction) or using a foot valve with an external priming system. If the site must lift from a pit or a tank below the pump, choose a self-priming line such as the Super T or a priming-assisted Prime Aire.

What is the warranty period?
Per the manufacturer's literature, warranty runs up to 60 months depending on the pump line (AV-05427). The term applying to each order is stated in the Thai Khuong quotation.
What information is needed for a quotation?
At minimum: required flow, total head or pipe length and elevation, fluid name and temperature, largest solids size, suction condition (tank above or below the pump), and the site's electrical supply. With these, engineers can read the curves and settle the model in one pass.

Ly tâm tiêu chuẩn của Gorman-Rupp dùng cho việc gì?

Bên cạnh các dòng tự mồi và mồi cưỡng bức, Gorman-Rupp có nhóm ly tâm tiêu chuẩn đặt ngang, dùng khi
nguồn cấp là bồn hoặc tuyến ống có áp, tức là không cần khả năng tự mồi. Bỏ được cụm mồi giúp thiết bị gọn hơn,
ít chi tiết hơn và thường cho hiệu suất cao hơn ở cùng điểm làm việc. Đây là nhóm dùng cho cấp nước quy trình,
tuần hoàn làm mát, chuyển nước trong nhà máy và các trạm bơm có hút ngập.

6500 Series cho trạm lưu lượng lớn

Đây là dòng ly tâm lớn nhất trong nhóm tiêu chuẩn của Gorman-Rupp, phủ cỡ họng tới 16″ và lưu lượng tới
3.497 m³/h. Điểm đáng chú ý là dòng này giữ khả năng nuốt rắn cầu tới 102 mm, mức thường chỉ thấy ở bơm xử lý
chất rắn. Nhờ vậy 6500 Series dùng được cho nước thải đã qua song chắn rác hoặc nước mặt có tạp chất, không chỉ
nước sạch.

So với dòng mồi cưỡng bức PAH cùng cỡ

PAH và 6500 có dải lưu lượng gần nhau nhưng khác nhau ở khả năng mồi. PAH có cụm mồi venturi nên dùng
được khi phải hút lên từ hố hoặc kênh; 6500 không tự mồi nên cần hút ngập. Đổi lại, bỏ cụm mồi giúp 6500 gọn
hơn và ít chi tiết cần bảo dưỡng hơn. Nếu trạm bơm được thiết kế với bể hút cao hơn cao độ bơm, 6500 thường là
phương án hợp lý hơn.

Real-world applications

Trạm bơm tiêu úng và kiểm soát ngập, trạm bơm nước thô cấp cho nhà máy nước, tuần hoàn nước làm mát quy
mô lớn, chuyển nước trong khu công nghiệp, và trạm bơm nước thải sau xử lý sơ bộ. Với công trình cần đẩy xa,
nên tính kỹ tổn thất ma sát trên tuyến vì cột áp là yếu tố quyết định cỡ bơm ở dải lưu lượng này.
